Limited hardware warranty

Axis Communications AB (“Axis”) warrants that the Axis product enclosed with this limited hardware warranty statement will be free from defects in workmanship and materials for a period of three (3) years from the date of original end-user purchase.

Extension of Warranty Period: Register for an extension of the hardware warranty from three years to five years from the date of purchase (solely for customers in Europe, Middle East and parts of Africa). In order to apply for extended warranty customers must register within 30 days from the purchasing date.

Service contact: When in need of support services, contact the Axis reseller that sold the product. If a replacement is required, the unit will be replaced on an exchange basis without charge for parts or labor during the warranty period. It is the responsibility of the customer to securely pack-age the product in its original container (or equivalent), to provide proof of the date of original purchase, the unit’s serial number and an error description and to pay for shipping. The printer cable, power supply and other accessories should not be sent to Axis with the unit. The exchanged product may be a new or refurbished unit to the Axis standard of quality. Exchange products assume the remaining warranty period of the original product or 30 days, whichever is greater.

What This Warranty Does Not Cover: This warranty does not cover damage caused by willful or accidental mishandling, improper installation or environmental conditions including, but not limited to, electrical surges, water damage and heat exposure. This warranty is voided if the unit is tampered with or altered in any way.

THE WARRANTY AND REMEDY PROVIDED ABOVE ARE EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. SOME LAWS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES. IF THESE LAWS APPLY, THEN ALL EXPRESSED AND IMPLIED WARRANTIES ARE LIMITED TO THE WARRANTY PERIOD IDENTIFIED ABOVE. UNLESS STATED HEREIN, ANY STATEMENTS OR REPRESENTATIONS MADE BY ANY OTHER PERSON OR FIRM ARE VOID. EXCEPT AS PROVIDED IN THIS WRITTEN WARRANTY, NEITHER AXIS NOR ANY AFFILIATES SHALL BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS, INCONVENIENCE, OR DAMAGE, INCLUDING DIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, RESULTING FROM THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE AXIS PRODUCT, WHETHER RESULTING FROM BREACH OF WARRANTY OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY. AXIS’ TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS UNDER THIS AGREEMENT SHALL NOT EXCEED THE PRICE PAID FOR THE PRODUCT. THESE LIMITATIONS ON POTENTIAL LIABILITIES WERE AN ESSENTIAL ELEMENT IN SETTING THE PRODUCT PRICE.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction.
