Axis announces changes to its UK and EMEA management
Axis Communications, the leading IP-Surveillance vendor, today announced that it has made some changes to its UK team in order to meet increasing demand for its network video solutions. The existing managing director of Axis Communications (UK) Ltd, Dominic Bruning, will assume the newly created position of Marketing Director, EMEA. Steve Gorski, previously country manager of Axis Communications, Benelux will take over as managing director, Axis Communications (UK) Ltd. The changes come as the company gears up to take full advantage of its market leading position and will be effective from 1st March 2006.
Assuming the role of managing director for Axis Communications (UK) Ltd is Steve Gorski. Gorski has spent the last six years with Axis, three as country manager for Benelux and previously as sales manager within the North American operations. The new role will mean that Gorski will be responsible for all Axis’ operations in the UK and Ireland.
Bruning commented on Gorski:
“The UK market is of significant importance for Axis and has seen a steady and sustained growth in the adoption of networked video technology. Steve’s extensive experience within Axis and his channel experience will ensure that the company continues the strong growth in the UK.”
Gorski added:
“Axis is a well established brand in the UK and Irish markets and I am looking forward to working alongside Axis staff and our network of channel partners to continue to build on the work the team has done.”
Bruning has worked with the company for six years in a number of roles but has spent the last four and a half years as managing director of Axis Communications (UK) Ltd. Bruning’s new role as marketing director for the EMEA region makes him responsible for creating and driving through a new European marketing plan across this region. Bruning will also formulate and lead co-operative initiatives with Axis’ strategic vendor partners as well as performing a key role within the newly created EMEA management group.
Bruning summed up his new role by saying:
“I am looking forward to this new challenge. Axis is the global and EMEA market leader within the field of network video and is therefore ideally positioned to capitalise on the high growth opportunities the market presents. Defining and pushing our differentiators in a consistent way across Europe is now key to our continued growth.”
