Axis rewards leading players in IP-Surveillance at first UK partner conference

Axis Communications, the global leader in IP-Surveillance, recognised three leading players in its market with awards at its first UK Channel Convergence Conference held at Sopwell House, St Albans on 19th October 2005. At the event Axis also provided an update on the future growth prospects of the IP-Surveillance market and an overview of its product plans and strategy for growth. Some of the more active Application Developer partners (ADPs) also presented to an audience of 45 Axis channel partners.

Best Performing Partner award went to CNL (Computer Network Limited), the UK’s leading integrator of IP security solutions and provider of security management software. CNL is recognised as an industry expert with over 400 implementations of integrated systems for CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Detection. CNL also has its own award winning security management solution, IPSecurityCenter™.

About Face Solutions picked up the Master of Growth award following achieving an incredible growth totalling 6860 per cent over last three quarters.

Redstone plc won Largest Video Project Award for their key role in the John Ruskin College project. Redstone is one of the UK’s leading voice, video and data convergence players with 370 employees in six offices around the country and a turnover last year of over £60 million. 

Axis now has a total of 111 partners in its Channel Partner Programme in the UK & Ireland and has provided training to a total of 137 individuals who have passed Level One of the Axis Training Academy, launched in November 2004. The Axis Training Academy offers training courses covering a range of issues such as:

• Introduction to the network camera versus the traditional CCTV system
• Converting analogue CCTV systems to IP based surveillance systems 
• Configuring IP-Surveillance systems – including issues such as compression selection, resolution, bandwidth management, motion detection, day/night capability, storage and archiving of images 
• Legal requirements such as Data Protection Act compliance
