Axis adds IP Control Systems to growing UK Application Development Partner list 

Axis Communications, the global leader in IP-Surveillance, has welcomed IP-based access and lighting control specialist IP Control Systems into its rapidly expanding Axis Development Partner (ADP) Programme in the UK & Ireland. As an ADP, IP Control Systems will be able to fully integrate Axis’ products into its market-leading Power over Ethernet-enabled access control readers, servers, lock and lighting controllers.

IP Control Systems has developed the world’s first Power over Ethernet access control system called Netgenium, a fact that was recognised at IIPSEC 2005 when it won Best IP Hardware Award category at this event’s IP Security Awards.

IP Control Systems’ focus on developing IP-based systems creates the potential for integration with networked applications such as Human Resources and Time & Attendance and other IP-based building management systems such as heating, lighting, and fire detection and alarm systems.”

One immediate output from the partnership is that IP Control Systems’ Netgenium Call Point software will use Axis’ ActiveX components and its own XML integration capability to provide cost-effective, PC-based remote door entry solutions for Axis IP-Surveillance camera users.
