Axis hits the road with Anixter’s Digital Vision seminars
Edinburgh 8th November 2005, Dublin 15th November 2005, Manchester 22nd November 2005, London 21st February 2006
Axis Communications, the global leader in IP-Surveillance, has announced it is to participate in a series of pan-European seminars being run by Anixter called Digital Vision. Anixter is bringing together 14 technology leaders in the world of security and IT infrastructure for a series of seminars on the deployment of successful IP-Surveillance solutions.
The seminars will feature presentations by industry experts including Axis Communications, Anixter, ProCurve, Networking by HP, Proxim, Systimax Solutions, Bosch, PowerDsine and Verint. The seminars are designed to address a wide range of topics including:
As well as these presentations, there will also be a solution exhibition that will feature stands for all of the speaker companies.
The increasing demand for physical security applications has led to many companies converging traditional surveillance networks with their IT infrastructures to maximise total network investment. IP-Surveillance enables organisations to benefit from high quality digital data, improved cost-efficiencies, full scalability and remote accessibility.
The IP-Surveillance market is booming. Datamonitor stated that the global market for IP-Surveillance was $1.3 billion in 2003 and is expected to grow to $7.4 billion by 2007. JP Freeman has announced that 30 per cent of video systems were connected to LANs in 2002 and this expected to rise to 71 per cent in 2005. But to deploy successful IP-Surveillance solutions requires new skills. By converging physical security with the IT infrastructure there are several points to consider and an intelligent strategy is required.
Dominic Bruning, managing director, Axis Communications UK Ltd said:
“The Digital Vision seminar programme is an excellent opportunity for delegates from all market sectors to investigate and understand the different technology solutions for deploying a successful IP-based surveillance system.”
As well as events in the UK, the Digital Vision seminars are also taking place in Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UAE & Turkey.
