Learn how to create and edit network groups

Logging in     Screen shot

  1. Start your Web browser.
  2. Type the computer name and the HTTP port number of the AXIS ThinWizard server in the Web browser's URL field. The syntax is http://<computer name>:<HTTP port number>, e.g. http://pcadministration:8000.
  3. Press the Enter key on your keyboard.
  4. Enter the User ID and Password for AXIS ThinWizard. 
  5. Click Login.

  1. Click Network Groups.
  2. Click the Create button.
  3. Type a name for the Network Group.
  4. Enter a range of IP addresses in the address fields. 
  5. Click the Add button to include the entered IP addresses. The added IP addresses will be displayed in the list. 
  6. If you want to remove an IP address range, select it from the list and click the Remove button.
  7. Select the server types that will be included in the Network Group by checking and clearing the check boxes.
  8. You can enter one or more optional e-mail addresses in the e-mail: field if you want. When an upgrade job has been performed, an e-mail will be sent to the recipient(s).
  9. Click OK.

  1. Click Network Groups.
  2. Select the desired Network Group from the list.
  3. Click Edit.
  4. Edit the Network Group name. Enter a range of IP addresses in the address fields. 
  5. Click the Add button to include the entered IP addresses. The added IP addresses will be displayed in the list. 
  6. If you want to remove an IP address range, select it from the list and click the Remove button.
  7. Select the server types that will be included in the Network Group by checking and clearing the check boxes.
  8. You can enter one or more optional e-mail addresses in the e-mail: field if you want. When an upgrade job has been performed, an e-mail will be sent to the recipient(s).
  9. Click OK.

  1. Click Network Groups.
  2. Select the desired Network Group from the list.
  3. Click Copy.
  4. Type a new unique name for the Network Group copy.
  5. Enter a range of IP addresses in the address fields. 
  6. Click the Add button to include the entered IP addresses. The added IP addresses will be displayed in the list. 
  7. If you want to remove an IP address range, select it from the list and click the Remove button.
  8. Select the server types that will be included in the Network Group by checking and clearing the check boxes.
  9. You can enter one or more optional e-mail addresses in the e-mail: field if you want. When an upgrade job has been performed, an e-mail will be sent to the recipient(s). 
  10. Click OK.

  1. Click Network Groups.
  2. Select the desired Network Group from the list.
  3. Click Remove.
  4. A confirmation window will open. Click OK.
