Logging in

- Start your Web browser.
- Type the computer name and the HTTP port number of the AXIS ThinWizard server
in the Web browser's URL field. The syntax is http://<computer name>:<HTTP port number>, e.g. http://pcadministration:8000.
- Press the Enter key on your keyboard.
- Enter the User ID and Password for AXIS ThinWizard. Click Log in.
Changing the General Preferences

- Click Preferences.
- Select the General tab.
- You can receive e-mail notifications from AXIS ThinWizard when the upgrade jobs are finished. To enable this functionality, you must specify the name of your SMTP mail server in the Mail Server Address field, and your e-mail address in the Default e-mail Address field.
- Specify the time of inactivity (the Session Time-out) before the ThinWizard session times out and a new login is required.
- Specify the HTTP Server Port number.
- Click OK.
Changing the
connection preferences

- Click Preferences.
- Select the Connection tab.
- If your network is protected by a firewall, you must specify the name of your HTTP proxy server in the Server Address field and the proxy server port in the Port Number field. This is not necessary if you are only interested in downloading the software locally. A server address entry example is proxy.domain.com.
- You must be a registered myAxis user in order to download firmware from Axis. Enter your myAxis E-Mail Address and myAxis Password.
- Click
OK.
Changing the AXIS ThinWizard password

- Click Preferences.
- Select the Authentication tab.
- Enter the Current User ID and the Current Password.
- Enter the New User ID and the New Password.
- Validate the new password by typing it in the Verify New Password text field.
- Click OK.
Manually downloading a Data file

- Click Preferences.
- Select the Data File tab.
- Click the Download Now button.
- The data file will now be downloaded from an Axis Web site.
Note: If you have checked the Download Data File Automatically check box, you do not have to download the data file manually.
