AXIS Media Control
AXIS Media Control is the ActiveX component used for viewing and handling media streams originated by Axis video products.
The AXIS Media Control can be controlled independently of the Axis product's Web pages, where it is embedded, by using the provided toolbar. Advanced properties can be configured by using the AXIS Media Control applet provided in the Control Panel.
Platforms supported: The AXIS Media Control can be installed on any Windows platform, but only Windows 2000, Windows XP or higher are supported.
Administrator rights on the target platform are required when installing the AXIS Media Control.
MPEG-2 decoder will only be installed when accessing MPEG-2 products, MPEG-4 decoders will only be installed when accessing MPEG-4 products and AAC decoders will only be installed when accessing AAC products.
Client PC requirements for MPEG-2 and MPEG-4:
- CPU: Pentium III 500 Mhz or higher, any AMD Athlon
- Memory: 128 MB RAM
- Graphic card: AGP card with Direct Draw support and 16 Mb
video memory
(32/64 Mb recommended for high resolutions/color depths)
- Software: Internet Explorer 5.5. DirectX 9.0 or higher.
(Motion JPEG works without DirectX)
- Windows Media Format 9 Series Runtime, or higher, is required for supporting MPEG-4 recording in AXIS Media

your product, different license terms apply. Please note
that more than one agreement may apply, e.g. MPEG-4 products
with AAC audio.
Motion JPEG
AXIS LICENSE AGREEMENT
This is a legal agreement between you (either individual or an entity) and Axis Communications AB (hereinafter referred to as "Axis"). By installing the SOFTWARE, you are agreeing to be bound by the terms of this agreement.
AXIS SOFTWARE LICENSE
1. GRANT OF LICENSE. Axis grants to you the right to use the SOFTWARE. The SOFTWARE is in "use" on a computer when it is loaded into temporary memory (i.e. RAM) or installed into permanent memory (e.g. hard disk, CD-ROM or other storage device) of that computer.
2. COPYRIGHT. The SOFTWARE is owned by Axis and/or its licensor(s), if any, and is protected by copyright laws and international treaty provisions. Therefore you must treat the SOFTWARE like any other copyrighted material (e.g. a book or a musical recording) except that you may either (a) make a copy of the SOFTWARE solely for backup or archival purposes or (b) transfer the SOFTWARE to a single hard disk provided you keep the original solely for backup purposes.
3. OTHER RESTRICTIONS. You may not rent, lease or sublicense the SOFTWARE but you may transfer SOFTWARE and accompanying written materials on a permanent basis provided that you retain no copies and the recipient agrees to the terms of this agreement. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the SOFTWARE. If the SOFTWARE is an update or has been updated, any transfer must include the most recent update and all previous versions.
4. THIRD PARTY Software. The SOFTWARE may contain third party software, which requires notices and/or additional terms and conditions. Such required third party software notices and/or additional terms and conditions are located in the readme file or other product documentation. By accepting this license agreement, you are also accepting the additional terms and conditions, if any, set forth therein.
5. TERMINATION. This License is effective until terminated. Your rights under this License will terminate automatically without notice from Axis if you fail to comply with any term(s) of this License. Upon the termination of this License, you shall cease all use of the SOFTWARE and destroy all copies, full or partial, of the SOFTWARE.
6. GOVERNING LAW. This agreement shall be deemed performed in and shall be construed by the laws of Sweden.

THE SOFTWARE IS DELIVERED FREE OF CHARGE AND ‘AS IS’ WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. THE ENTIRE RISK AS TO THE RESULTS AND PERFORMANCE OF THE SOFTWARE IS ASSUMED BY YOU/THE USER.
