MPEG-4 decoder not installed

Question:

When I try to use mpeg-4 on my AXIS 212 PTZ, I get an error message that mmpeg4dec.ax is not installed so I click on the link to upgrade/install mpeg-4 decoder. I follow the instructions, accept the agreement, and allow the Active X control to run, but installation always fails. What can I do about this?

Answer:

Before accepting the license agreement during installation of the mpeg-4 decoder, close Live View Internet Explorer window. Then accept license agreement, finish installation of the decoder, restart Internet Explorer and access the mpeg-4 stream again.

Assure also that all camera IP's and URLs are added to the Trusted Sites list according to this FAQ:
