Installing Axis Printer Ports in 
Windows 2000/Windows XP/Windows Server 2003

1. In the Additional Port Information Required window, choose the Device Port you want to use: you will see LPT1, LPT2 and COM1 in a drop-down menu. 
   Select a port and continue the installation. 
   
   For USB print servers: 
   If you want the USB port to appear as an option in the Device Port drop-down list, you must install software: click here
   
   or install the usb port as a parallel port: 
   For print servers with one USB port: select LPT1 in the Device Port drop-down list.
   
   For print servers with one USB port and one parallel port: choose LPT2 for the USB port and LPT1 for the parallel port. 
   
   
   Click Next.

   
    

2. Click Finish. 

   
    

3. In the Install Printer Software window, select the proper Manufacturer and Printer from the driver lists. Click Next. 
   Choose whether you want to keep the existing driver or replace it. 
   If you already have the printer's driver installed, you will be asked whether to keep it or replace it. 
   Click Next. 

   

   Now continue to Step 4
