AXIS Cobra + - Technical Notes

Using the Cobra/Cobra+ with the Zebra Label Printer Series

The Zebra Series of printers needs to a '^' (upper carat) symbol in front of any command or data before it will print anything. Also, you need to select the Generic printer driver and set the System Language to US English in the Cobra. This should automatically translate EBCDIC '^' to an ASCII '^' correctly. You don't need to make any other changes in the translation table of the Cobra, unlike some other thermal transfer printers on the market.

Setup for the AX-7 Cobra/Cobra+:

&&??%%P
%P
=207,30
=5,0
=207,12
%
&&??000

(Select Generic Printer Driver)
(Sets System Language to US English)
(Save parameters permanently)

Setup for the AX-3 Cobra/Cobra+ in IBM 4214 mode:

&&??%%P
%P
=207,30
=10,1
=205
%
&&??000

(Select Generic Printer Driver)
(Sets System Language to US English)
(Save parameters permanently)
