AXIS 7000 - Image Viewers To view the scanned image or document received from the AXIS 7000 Network Document Server a viewer is needed. Depending on your computer platform various viewers are available for download from the Internet. The list below contains examples of freeware, shareware and commercial software. Note that some applications below do not support all the image/document file formats that the AXIS 7000 Network Document Server can create. Check the OCR column for the capability to convert the scanned information into editable/searchable text. In Windows 95B, 98, and NT 4 a viewer called Imaging for Windows is included which supports the TIFF (including multipage) and JPEG files the AXIS 7000 creates. It is very good at making scanned documents readable even at lower screen resolutions. For viewing PDF The Adobe Acrobat Reader is the given choice for most systems. Most image editing tools support JPEG and uncompressed TIFF, like Adobe Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, and others.
