How to upload a PTZ driver

A PTZ driver is required in order to control a connected Pan Tilt Zoom device.

Before you begin:

1. Download the PTZ driver from the Axis Web site and save it on your hard disk/network. 
2. Connect the PTZ device to the serial port on the video server using an appropriate cable.

Uploading the PTZ driver

1. Go to Setup > System Options > Ports & Devices in the internal Web pages of the video server.
2. Select RS232 or  RS 485 depending on the serial interface of the PTZ device.
3. Select Pan Tilt Zoom from the Port settings Usage drop-down list.
4. Click the Upload... button.
5. Under Upload New Driver to Server, click Browse...  and locate the PTZ driver you saved on your hard disk/network.
6. Click the Upload button and the driver will be installed.
7. The installation is complete when the information under Installed Driver is updated.
8. Click Close to close the window.
