Technical Note: Pre and Post Alarm Buffer in the AXIS 2100The information in this article applies to:
SummaryThis article explain the memory usage of the image buffer in the AXIS 2100 More informationIf the buffer is set up to contain images that take more space than the allocated memory, 350KB in the AXIS 2100, the application will not be able to continue as expected. Only a part of the specified buffer will be sent and an error will be logged in the Camera. The solution is to decrease the amount of images in the Pre and Post Alarm Buffer. A way to calculate the possible amount of images, is by a practical test check how big in KB, the image will be when sent to a FTP server or by email. Then it's possible to get the maximum number of images by dividing the allocated memory in the Camera with the biggest file size in the test.
Note that the file size of the image may vary depending on the complexity and the light conditions of the object. |
