If purchased separately, the AXIS IV Module must be manually installed in the video server. This is done by uploading the software file to the video server, via a web page in the server’s web interface.

Important!
Before installing DSP applications in the Video Server, please ensure that the date and time settings (Basic configuration > Date & Time) are set correctly. The copy protection and certification control systems may prevent a successful installation if the date and time settings are not correct.

How to install an IV module

Follow these instructions to install and activate a new IV module into an Axis video server.

1. First, you must download the purchased IV module.
2. In the video server's web interface, go to Intelligent Video > IV Modules.
3. Under Module Upload, enter the path and file name or click the Browse... button to locate the file.
4. Click the Upload button. 
5. The uploaded IV module will be available in the Module List.
6. Select the IV Module from the list and click Start.
