Base and upgrade licenses

An AXIS Camera Station software purchase includes a base license for 4 or 10 cameras (Axis network cameras or analogue cameras connected to Axis video encoders. Thereafter, customers may purchase additional camera upgrade licenses in packs of 1, 5 or 20 cameras. A maximum of 50 camera licenses can be used on one PC/server.

The AXIS Camera Station Client, which is used to connect to an AXIS Camera Station server can be installed on an unlimited number of PCs.

Support & software upgrades

The initial base license includes a one-year free support and access to upgrades of the product. If you want access to support and future versions and upgrades of AXIS Camera Station after the first year is expired you will have to purchase additional support licenses. A support license will grant you one-year additional support and upgrade from the day when the base license or previous support license expired. Please contact your local reseller to purchase additional support licenses.

With the AXIS Camera Station demo version and the AXIS Camera Station One freeware Axis does not offer any product support.

Example:
If 18 camera licenses are required, you'll need to buy one 5-camera license package, and three 1-camera licenses in addition to the 10-base license that can be provided in the initial software purchase. If 6 camera licenses are required, you'll need to buy two 1-license upgrades to add to a 4-camera base license that can be provided in the initial software purchase.

Upgrade from AXIS Camera Station 2.xx to AXIS Camera Station 3.0

During upgrade to AXIS Camera Station 3.0 the installation program will copy the licenses into the new version. The installation will also check if your current base license + additional support licenses are valid for upgrade – if not, the installation will be aborted.
