Auto Iris Lenses

If the AXIS 200+ Network Camera is used outdoors or is subjected to direct sunlight, we strongly recommend the use of an Auto Iris lens. An Auto Iris lens will greatly improve the picture quality in variable light conditions as well as protect the Camera's CCD from strong, direct light which may cause permanent damage.

There are two common types of automatic iris lenses. The Axis 200+ Network Camera supports C- or CS- threaded Auto Iris lenses that use the video signal as feedback to the lens. These are most often called Auto Iris Lens or Video Type Auto Iris Lens. The other common variant of Auto Iris Lenses (DC type) are not supported by the Axis 200+ Network Camera.
