Axis partner ComTech Solution optimizes Transfargo’s transportation operations

Video surveillance generates security and efficiency in a modern transportation center

Mission

The transportation and logistics company TransFargo has been successful and growing during the company’s 30 years in business. This resulted in the company outgrowing its premises in Malmö, Sweden. TransFargo built a new logistics center in Arlöv, on the outskirts of Malmö, with sufficient space and optimal conditions for operating their transportation business. Some of the criteria for the new transportation center included providing a high level of security and the possibility to make effective freight searches.

Solution

TransFargo consulted ComTech Solution AB, who are experts in solutions within the IT, communications, and security fields. The solution was to install network cameras from Axis Communications with software from Axis’ partner Kentima. A total of 40 Axis megapixel network cameras were placed in strategic areas, both inside and outside the new transportation center. Outside the premises, weatherproof cameras were installed, delivering superior image quality for both day and night. The cameras installed inside the premises have exceptionally good image quality. After the installation at the main office, the terminals in Gothenburg also deployed the same type of cameras.

Result

Thanks to IP video surveillance technology, TransFargo is equipped for the future with a modern logistics center. The Axis network cameras discourage thieves and unauthorized parties from entering the premises. They have also contributed to TransFargo streamlining its operations at the terminal. With the help from the central video surveillance system, TransFargo is able, for example, to track goods in connection with troubleshooting.
