SPF (Sender Policy Framework)

Axis is using different methods to prevent spam and e-mail forgery. SPF (Sender Policy Framework) is a way to authenticate the identity of e-mail senders. For others to be able to validate that e-mails originates from Axis, Axis has implemented SPF (Sender Policy Framework) for the axis.com / axis.se domain. Domains that are also using SPF can distinguish e-mails that originate from Axis from forgeries. SPF is easily installed and configured.

More information regarding SPF can be found here: spf.pobox.com

Axis trusted mail relay's/gateway's

Mail servers that are not using SPF will relay forged e-mails. Client applications can filter these by validating the e-mail headers against a list of addresses. If you are using client-based filters, you will need to have an updated list of Axis mail relay's/gateway's.
