How it works
In applications where bandwidth is limited, the operator can view live video in in low resolution, while recording HDTV quality images locally on the camera.

Upon an incident, the high quality video stream from the camera will be stored on the camera’s SD/SDHC card, which is then retrieved by the central VMS for efficient forensic search.
Genetec
Video trickling is an innovative feature from Genetec that brings even more flexibility and reliability to the recording management of Omnicast. Simple configuration of the cameras in Omnicast ensures video can be streamed, monitored and archived at lower frame rate, while leveraging the HDTV quality video recorded on an Axis camera for evidence. This feature is already being realized by customers like the Footscray Police Department to reduce crime on city streets.
