802.11b/g printing |
Wireless Printing: How? Axis wireless print servers work with any printer* and any 802.11b/g access point in any network. Once the wireless print server has been installed and connected to a printer, it can operate in one of two modes:
Infrastructure mode
In this WLAN environment, users with 802.11b/g-enabled laptops, as well as users with stationary workstations, can print to the printer that is connected to the wireless print server. Because of the wireless connection to the network, the printer and print server can easily be moved around to where it's most convenient. Ad hoc mode
In this scenario, a bypassing user with an 802.11b/g-enabled laptop can connect to the wireless print server directly. * Host-based printers such as GDI, CAPT and PPA are not supported.
