Scenario 1: Basic installation with remote access on the local network

AXIS Camera Station and Axis network cameras are located on the same local network. Viewing, playback and administration are done directly in AXIS Camera Station. Existing analog cameras connected to an Axis video encoder achieve the same functionality.

Typical environments for this type of installation are small offices or retail shops.

Scenario 2: Installation with local networks spread over a geographical area, including both local and remote cameras. 

One common surveillance system is used at different locations spread over a geographical area. the system can be remotely accessed from anywhere on the Internet by a supervisor or a contracted security company using the AXIS Camera Station Client.

Typical environments for this type of installation are schools or retail stores.
