Q: Why should I use a wireless print server?
A: To be able to share your printer without physically connecting wires between devices.
There are two different methods of wireless networking, infrastructure and ad-hoc mode:
-
Infrastructure mode enables you to connect the print server through a common point called access point,
which acts as a base station for all wireless devices.
It also acts as a bridge between the wireless and traditional LAN networks.
-
Ad-hoc mode, aka "Peer-to-Peer" or direct mode. The devices configured in this mode communicate
directly with the print server, without any additional hardware.
Q: Is a USB cable included?
A: Yes, since many printers are supplied without a cable.
