Know Limitations in 4.35.004: ============================== Restore to factory settings of a camera supporting VMD4 will put the camera VMD application in a Stopped state. From this state doing a restore to previous time, from a time when VMD4 application was active, fails to put the camera VMD4 application in Running state. The application needs to be started manually from the camera's web interface. New features in 4.35.003 ============================== * Support for Video Motion Detection 4. * When installing new ACAPs on devices, user can choose what to do with any pre-existing versions of the application. Changes made in 4.35.003 ============================== * Searching in logs are much faster now. * Added sorting and filtering capabilities in the Server Configuration sheet. New features in 4.34.002 ============================== * Collect device data: Ability to collect data from multiple devices by making a specific web request to the selected devices or cameras. Changes made in 4.34.002 ============================== * Axis Camera Management configuration files created with older versions are now supported (Down to ACM 4.0). New features in 4.33.002 ============================== * Added support for 21 languages. * Improvements to IP Range adding of cameras - IP-range searches have been improved by allowing new combinations of wildcards and subnet-ranges. * Ability to change how many upgrade firmware jobs run in parallel. * Registry setting for changing nightly reload: - Now possible to change the time for nightly reload in the registry, this is done the same way as for the database backup. FAQ available on axis.com Changes made in 4.33.002 ============================== * The AXIS Camera Management Service is now set to start Automatically (Delayed) for new installations and upgrades, as in AXIS Camera Station. * Password for devices with firmware 1.x can now contain up to 64 characters. * Fixed the sorting of new firmware versions. Know Limitations in 4.33.002: ============================== * Configuration files generated with old ACM versions will not work with version 4.33. Workaround: edit the file and replace "SerialNumber" by "MacAddress". Permanent solution will be available in 4.34 Changes made in ACM 4.31.005 ============================= * Improved performance for installations with many tags. New features in 4.31.002 ======================== * Added support for firmware 6.40 and later : * Support for the new implementation of Add User and Set Password. * Added support for AXIS T8516 (Managed PoE+ Network Switch for 16 channels) : * Improved error handling. * Supported features: Discovery, Assign IP, Restore to Factory Default, Restart, Firmware upgrade. * Non-supported features: Backup/Restore, Configure, User management, ACAP upload, Set date/time. * New icons for speakers (C1004, C2005, C3003…) and Axis Switch (T8516). Know Limitations: ================= * T8516 firmware upgrade: The switch reports the wrong status and the task will show as finished in ACM before it actually is so. The switch will restart 10-15 seconds after it has reported as finished which will cause to be inaccessible during the time of the restart. * C3003 password is truncated to 8 characters if set in ACM. * This is due to the new firmware naming (1.20). A service release will correct the issue. ==================================== Upgrade considerations with 4.30.009 ==================================== * Windows XP and Server 2003 are no longer supported. * 32-bit systems are no longer supported * Microsoft .NET version 4.6.1 is required. Installing a new .NET version will require a restart before continuing installing AXIS Camera Management 4.30 New features in 4.30.009 ========================= * Server discovery: - Discovered remote servers on the local network now appear in the "Remote servers" combo box without having to manually enter the address. * Generate system report tool: - Server report has been renamed to System Report. - Partial system report can be generated from the Tools tab of the AXIS Camera Management Service Control when it is impossible to take a report through the client. i.e. if the server doesn't start or if the client can't connect to the server. Changes made in ACM 4.30.009 ============================= * General stability improvements. * Improved Database backups handling. * Firebird database stability improvements. * Fixed an issue where client could crash when canceling removal of devices or a generation of a device report. * Fixed an issue when removing a large number of devices simultaneously. * Security patch that prevents cameras to request plain-text passwords if the camera supports encrypted password. This prevents disclosing camera passwords during a man-in-the-middle attack. * Improved searching for link-local devices on multiple network interfaces. * Fixed several issues where the server wrongly indicated an unexpected shutdown had taken place. * Fixed an issue where a device would wrongly indicate that the password would be sent unencrypted. New features in 4.22.026 ============================== * Camera model AXIS Q3617 is now supported * Improvements for handling of future products New features in 4.22.023 ============================== * Firmware upgrade is supported for camera firmware 6.20 New features in 4.22.019 ============================== * Fixed an issue with parsing some firmware files * Fixed an issue where upgrade firmware operations would abort uploading a firmware to a camera after 90 seconds. The intended timeout of 30min for ACM is now specified. * When assigning IP addresses to multiple devices, IP addresses are assigned to the devices starting with the first MAC address. * Fixed a server crash with camera firmware 6.10 during restore point and device configuration (due to lack of default stream profile). New features in 4.22.014 ============================== * Added support for English, German, French and Italian * Improved handling of many simultaneous HTTP requests: Performance should be improved during nightly refresh for large installations with more than 500 devices * Now possible to install ACAPs with no APPID * Validated support for Windows 10 Pro * Fixed searching for devices using Bonjour on Windows 10 New features in 4.21.014 ============================== * Improved how database transactions are done when there are many elements: This makes ACM more stable in large installations. * AXIS C3003-E Network Horn Speaker can now be added to ACM * Fixed a couple of rare issues stopping a user from creating and applying restore points: This could occur when the camera had unexpected values on one of its parameters. * Fixed an issue with upgrade firmware using a low bandwidth connection * Fixed issue with not being able to add devices with firmware version 5.70 and anonymous viewer enabled New features in 4.20.035 ============================== ---------------------------------- Device Configuration improvements: ---------------------------------- * The values in a configuration file can be changed/deselected before it is applied to devices. * The multiple choice dialog about which source to load the configuration from has been removed. * Configuration source is now chosen in the dialog showing parameters etc. By default all parameters the devices (selected by the user) have in common are shown. ------------------------------ Upgrade firmware improvements: ------------------------------ * The batch size for firmware upgrade has been changed from 25 to 40 parallel upgrades per server. * An instruction text is shown in the upgrade firmware dialog if there are no firmware to choose from. * It is possible to deselect models to not upgrade them. Models with no upgrade will be deselected by default. * Browse to firmware is now a button. It will automatically detect which model the firmware can be applied to. Multiple files can be selected at once. * Firmware files put in "C:\ProgramData\Axis Communications\AXIS Camera Management Server\FirmwareFiles" will be added to the database when "check for updates" is triggered by the client. This can be used when the user want to use a method other than ACM to transfer the firmware files. -------------------------- Upgrade firmware settings: -------------------------- * Choosing the upgrade order, parallel or sequence, is now done in "Upgrade Firmware Settings" found in the options menu instead of in the firmware upgrade dialog. This setting is saved on the server and is used for all firmware upgrades. * Automatic check for updates can be configured in the "Upgrade Firmware Settings". Option are "Never" or at client startup. * It is possible to turn off checking against axis.com meaning ACM will only detect local firmware files for check for updates. ------------------ Notification area: ------------------ * A new notification area has been added just above the device list. This area will be used to inform the user of important events in the system. * New notification prompting the user to turn on automatic firmware updates. This will mean that the version information is downloaded to ACM at client startup. When clicking the notification it will prompt the user for MyAxis credentials. * New notification prompting the user if any devices can be upgraded to a new firmware. When clicking the notification the firmware upgrade dialog will be opened with suggested changes. * A setting in Options->Customize allows the user to turn these notifications off. ----- Misc: ----- * We now use the latest VMD2 version 2.2 in the ACAP wizard. * Unacknowledged alarms are now shown in the alarm bar when the client starts. Previously they could only be seen in the log workspace if triggered when the client was disconnected. * Corrected an issue with Windows Server 2003.
