Scene
Face & object recognition
In comparing scenes or image information, you will find that there is no easy way of knowing how
complex an image will be. There are however a
few shortcuts, based on experience. Empty skies do not hold
a lot of information, while forests with detailed trees hold
enormous amounts of detail.
The amount of available light will also
determine how much detail will be revealed. More detail
and contrast means larger file sizes.

It is hard to know which scene holds the most
information. On the left, there are lots of color
variation and more objects and shapes. On the
right, there are large amounts of contrast.
