Appendix C

This chart offers letters of different sizes and can be used as a guide when installing and calibrating cameras on site. The chart should be placed where a person is expected to appear, and viewed through the camera in its installed position. 

 On the right hand side you see detail levels ranging from 1-8. These levels govern if faces can be recognized or fully identified. You should keep in mind that this chart does not take body movement into account. In order to make a more exact evaluation including body movement, other calibrating tools such as the revolving Rotakin man, is recommended. SKL chart (pdf)
