Axis and ABB add video capabilities to real-time control of industrial processes

Axis Communications and ABB have together developed a solution to integrate video capabilities into ABB's Industrial IT process control systems utilizing the Aspect ObjectsTM concept. For Axis this means an important step further into the growing market for video monitoring of industrial processes.

Networked video technology is gaining ground in a number of different fields of application. Based on Axis' market leading position within networked digital video surveillance and security solutions, the company is now also established in the growing market for video monitoring of industrial processes. Through the partner agreement with ABB and its Process Automations Systems, Axis gains an industry leading partner that brings Axis' networked video technology to market.
