Networked video technology is gaining ground in a number of different fields of application. Based on Axis' market leading position within networked digital video surveillance and security solutions, the company is now also established in the growing market for video monitoring of industrial processes. Through the partner agreement with ABB and its Process Automations Systems, Axis gains an industry leading partner that brings Axis' networked video technology to market.
"The integration between Axis' network video products and ABB's process automation system is an excellent example of the strong integration capabilities of our Aspect Integrator Platform, the base for Industrial IT, and of the Axis network video products. The real-time images based on Axis' video products give users information that visually supports the facts and figures provided by the other Industrial IT applications. With all the necessary information at their hands, system operators can see to real-timebusiness needs, analyze and control processes directly from central workstations," says Per Ekström, Alliance Manager, ABB Automation Technology Products AB.
The partner agreement with ABB makes Axis one of the first non-ABB companies that has its products Industrial IT-enabled. Read more about Industrial IT and Aspect Objects on www.abb.com/control.
