Axis delivers video servers to home security project in Singapore

Axis Communications continues to prove its market leading position in IP-based video security and surveillance solutions. Together with local partners Axis was chosen to deliver an easy-to-use and cost-effective video surveillance solution to a new residential housing project in Singapore. The order is worth over 300 000 Euros for Axis.

The surveillance solutions to be implemented are based on AXIS 2400 video servers, allowing high quality images to be transferred and managed efficiently and cost effectively. With its built-in Web access, the digital video servers from Axis minimize administrative needs and enable security staff to view all images on or off site on a 24-hour basis. The solution also adds direct value to tenants by making it possible for them to monitor their homes through live video feeds. Residents can subscribe to broadband Internet and access "their" cameras remotely via a customized portal.

The ability to offer tenants, or house owners, a secure environment is an increasingly important part of any housing project brought to market. Surveillance solutions that add to a greater feeling of security are therefore a competitive advantage in new housing developments, but at the same time cost effectiveness is highly prioritized to be able to build secure homes with rents and costs that tenants can bear. Axis' main advantage in efforts like this is its ability to deliver tailor-fit video surveillance solutions that are easy to install, user friendly and cost effective.
