Axis expands cooperation with Canon in the U.S. with a substantial order of print servers

Axis Communications has developed and delivered to Canon customized print servers, which are used in a series of copy printers that target the small business segment in the U.S. market. This extension of Axis' existing cooperation with Canon opens up for a broader market approach with products built for the retail channel and Canon's authorized dealers in the U.S. The initial order is worth approximately 250,000 USD.

The long and successful cooperation between Axis and Canon has generated substantial OEM volumes for Axis over the years. Through this new agreement, the customized print server AXIS 1610 makes networking capabilities an integrated part of Canon's imageRUNNER 1300 series. The copy printers are primarily aimed at the fast-growing, small business market.

This new line of entry-level devices extends Canon's product line and enables Canon to reach out to a growing number of customers working in branch offices or small businesses. Together with Axis, Canon can now deliver high quality, cost-efficient and flexible printing solutions designed for these customers needs.
